Do I have to pay a bond ?

Yes, all new volunteer stewards pay a bond of £425, which is repayable as soon as possible after the festival, (£25 will be retained for Festive Lizards administration fee), subject to satisfactorily completion of your shifts.

£25 covers a cereal breakfast every day (cereals/juice and toast with preserves) plus helps with our administration costs to organise over 300 stewards.  Remember we are a not for profit group.

There are no exceptions.

Trust works both ways, we aim to trust everyone, however a small minority spoil it for everyone else.

So what work will I do ?

You will volunteer to work 3 x 8.5 hour shifts, patience is key, as we transport you to your point of work and use the road network, your shifts will be working at any of the following and you may be longer on shift due to transfer times because of traffic, do not shout at us if you are there longer - it is beyond our control:

  • Off site car parks, either cashiers or checking pre-paid car park tickets, directing traffic into the correct lanes
  • The Coach Park - unloading and loading, a very physical job
  • Ticket checking for the buses at busy times
  • Red Gate Roundabout - maintaining a clear path for emergency vehicles
  • We also provide stewards for other traffic management duties
  • Or anything else we are asked to do

Anything Else?

We operate a ZERO tolerance policy for drugs on camp as we are a family based group with many friends and families working together.
We endeavor to provide as many facilities as we can.

Most of you may be camping with us from the Monday before the festival, so you are advised to please bring plenty of provisions with you! We do not issue Festival tickets/wristbands on arrival.

To any single applicants, fear not!! We are a very friendly and sociable bunch. You will always find someone having a beer or two and lots of interesting conversation at the meeting area.

CAMPSITE FACILITIES
